Seattle Sounders vs Montreal Impact Betting Tips & Predictions

Seattle Sounders’ season couldn’t have started any worse. They first got knocked out of the CONCACAF Champions League 5-3 on aggregate to America, and it didn’t get any better when the MLS season began a few days later.

They lost 1-0 at home to Sporting Kansas City in their opening league game, and have since followed that up with 2-1 defeats to Real Salt Lake and Whitecaps.

This run of poor results is largely thanks to late lapses in concentration, with each of the winning goals in their three MLS matches coming in the final 20 minutes of the game. If they remained concentrated and driven for the full 90 minutes they might see some success. But at the moment it doesn’t look promising for them to match their 4th place finish in the Western Conference last season.

Montreal Impact kicked their new campaign off with a thrilling 3-2 win over Whitecaps, and the following 3-0 win against Supporters Shield holders New York Red Bull was even more impressive as three second half goals resigned the faltering New York side to a comprehensive defeat.

They did lose to FC Dallas last time out, but that won’t have hit their confidence too hard after a very promising start to the new season.

Considering Seattle Sounders’ dreadful start to the campaign, and the fact that they haven’t tasted victory in their last seven attempts, odds of 19/20 for a Montreal Impact Win or Draw Double Chance look incredibly good value. The visitors have already won on the road this season and have a good record against Seattle Sounders, so that’s my main tip along with a 2-1 win for Montreal Impact at 12/1.
