      Sevilla vs Akhisar Belediye Predictions

Sevilla lock horns with Akhisarspor at the Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán on Thursday knowing that a victory over the Turkish side could push them to the summit of Europa League Group J.

Sevilla were soundly beaten 2-4 at Barcelona at the weekend, but despite that result and in general terms, Los Hispalenses are in great form ahead of their third UEL group match later this week. Sevilla have won five of their last seven in all competitions, with their reverse at Barca preceded by a loss in Russia against Krasnodar.

The Spaniards had been confident of taking at least a point from their game against the Russians, and although they led for a decent chunk of the match, they were undone by two Krasnodar goals inside the last twenty minutes.

That Russian result brought Sevilla back down to earth a little after they had smashed Standard Liege 5-1 in their opening group match, though they will expect another decent goal haul on Thursday against a completely out of sorts Akhisarspor team.

Los Hispalenses have lost just once in eight at home in all competitions in 2018/19 and they are looking to win their fourth match on the trot in front of their own fans on Thursday.

In contrast, Akhisarspor are in the middle of an utterly dreadful sequence, losing four matches in succession and six of their last seven in total. Akigo are rooted to the bottom of the Turkish SuperLig after nine rounds of games, winning only once, drawing two and losing the other six.

After their 0-5 mauling at the hands of Kasımpaşa at the weekend, Akhisarspor now have the worst defensive record in the division and with confidence at rock bottom in the Akigo ranks, they will fear another thrashing on Thursday in Spain.

With just one clean sheet in their last nine, Sevilla have shown their own vulnerabilities this season. We expect them to concede on Thursday, though Sevilla have also shown that they have the attacking power to render their defensive frailties largely redundant this term.

Only Barcelona have scored more goals in La Liga than Sevilla this season, and they only overtook Los Hispalenses in the goalscoing department after beating them at the weekend. Pablo Machín’s attacking machine have hit the net twenty-two times in their last seven games alone.

100% of Sevilla’s last seven fixtures saw over 2.5 goals scored in them and Thursday’s clash with Akhisarspor has the makings of another goal fest. We recommend backing the over 2.5 and both teams to score combination with that in mind, while our correct score prediction is forecasting a 3-1 win for the hosts.
