Go for goals at both ends at Edgeley Park

Stockport have scored at least twice in ten of their last 12 League One games and the best bet may well be that both teams score when they host Burton at Edgeley Park on Saturday.

Stockport have won ten of their last 12 League One home games across the previous season and the new campaign, and have enjoyed two successive wins over Burton, who have lost five of their last seven away games.

Stockport’s 2-1 home defeat to Bradford on Tuesday was a surprise, coming off the back of nine wins in their previous 11 league games. Owen Moxon put County ahead on 16 minutes, but Bradford turned the game around.

That was the Hatters’ only defeat of the season, following wins over Bolton and Wycombe and a 2-2 draw at Leyton Orient.

Stockport have scored in all four of their League One games this season, while both teams also found the net in two of Burton’s three matches.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Stockport are strong favourites but their opponents have suffered just one defeat in all competitions this term.
