Stoke City vs Wycombe Wanderers Predictions
- Stoke have won two of their last three home games and have kept clean sheets in three of their last four starts at the bet365 Stadium.
- Wycombe have lost their last two league matches without scoring and six of their last eight fixtures on the road.
- The Chairboys have failed to net in three of their last four away trips.
- Stoke ran out 0-1 winners at Adams Park in December’s reverse fixture.
Potters to welcome drop in opposition
Stoke City’s play-off hopes have all but ended after three defeats in the last week, but the Potters should at least stop their rot when they host bottom side Wycombe at the bet365 Stadium.
Its typically difficult to make a case for any team that has just lost three league matches on the spin, although Stoke’s recent results perhaps shouldn’t be taken too literally in the context of this Saturday’s upcoming game.
The Potters have been beaten by second placed Brentford, fourth placed Swansea and a Barnsley outfit enjoying a hot winning sequence, and none of those reverses can really be classed as surprising.
Stoke are 11th in the table, which is a fair reflection of their ability, but that should be enough to see them through this Saturday’s encounter with the Chairboys.
The Potters have won two of their last three at home and have kept clean sheets in three of their last four outings at the bet365 Stadium, so a win to nil for Michael O’Neill’s men looks the value call here against a Wycombe side who have lost six of their last eight on the road and failed to net in three of their last four away trips.
City also ran out 0-1 winners at Adams Park in December’s reverse fixture and we’re predicting a repeat score-line this Saturday alongside our win to nil wager.
