Stoke vs Swansea Betting Tips & Predictions

Stoke managed to break out of their poor run of form at the beginning of 2016 and have further strengthened their bid for their best ever Premier League finish. They come into this game in 8th position, but they are only five points adrift of a top four spot, which would be an incredible achievement.

They won against Watford last time out, following on from a very disappointing home loss to Southampton the week before, to make it three wins, one draw, and one defeat in their last five matches.

But Swansea won’t be pushovers on Saturday. The visitors have been revived by the arrival of Francesco Guidolin, and with him at the helm have almost steered themselves clear of the looming relegation battle.

Swansea come into this game in 15th position with a ten point cushion over Sunderland in 18th. A win on Saturday could send them as high as 11th in the table, which would be a very respectable position considering their awful first half to the season.

They have won three of their last four matches and have started to show the solid defensive work we have come to expect of them with a few clean sheets. They aren’t any worse on the road either, with just two defeats in their last five games, and one of these came against Spurs.

Stoke have only won two of their last five outings at the Britannia Stadium as well, so odds of 3/4 for a Swansea Win or Draw Double Chance look very good value to me. I don’t think either team can win this though, so I’m backing a 1-1 draw at 11/2.
