Tondela pause cup celebrations to face stern test

Tondela will pause their cup semi-final celebrations to focus on a relegation battle when in-form Vitoria Guimaraes arrive at Estádio João Cardoso on Sunday.

Clearly the visitors match up well against Tondela, who have won one and lost four of the last five contests between the clubs. So it’s a pretty easy call to recommend an away win at odds against in this fixture – particularly as Tondela were made to fight hard for 90 minutes in midweek when Guimaraes were resting.

A correct score forecast of 2-0 to Os Conquistadores sounds about right given Tondela have shipped 30 home goals this season at an average of 2.0 while Guimaraes are yet to score more than twice on any league road trip in 2021-22.
