Tottenham Hotspur vs Fiorentina Predictions
Tottenham Hotspur’s unlikely chase for a treble came to an end at the weekend as Crystal Palace beat them 1-0 at White Hart Lane, but they will be confident of continuing their Europa League campaign. They played very well in Italy last week and came out with an away goal and a draw to take back to White Hart Lane.
Both teams will be a bit preoccupied with their unlikely challenges for their respective titles. Spurs are just two points adrift of Premier League leaders Leicester, sitting ahead of Arsenal on goal difference. Fiorentina, despite their recent struggles to win, are only six points behind top of the Serie A Juventus and are still in with an outside chance of taking the title.
Reasons for Betting Tips
Tottenham Hotspur have been in excellent form this season, and Mauricio Pocchettino’s blend of high pressure defensive work alongside fast paced attacks has proven very effective so far. They will be focusing heavily on claiming a famous first Premier League title, but the Europa League won’t be taking too much of a back seat at this late stage. They played well against Fiorentina and fully deserved their draw, and I don’t see them giving the Italians much of a chance on Thursday.
The visitors have only won two of their last eight away matches in all competitions and we all know how difficult it is to travel in Europe. I think Spurs can get revenge over the Italians on Thursday, replicating the away draw and home win that Fiorentina enjoyed in the same round of the Europa League last season.

Head to Head
Prior to their 1-1 draw last week these two had met in two competitive matches previously. Coincidentally this was in the same round of the Europa League last season, where Fiorentina won 3-1 on aggregate after drawing at White Hart Lane and winning back in Italy.
Statistics
Tottenham Hotspur have kept a clean sheet in 46% of their home matches this season and have averaged 1.81 goals scored throughout the campaign.
Team News
Tottenham Hotspur – Harry Kane is set to play despite his broken nose, with Erik Lamela expected to recover from illness as well. Moussa Dembele, Clinton N’Jie, and Jan Vertonghen will all miss out though.
Fiorentina – Defender Facundo Roncaglia will miss out through suspension, with fellow defender Yohan Benaloune doubtful due to a thigh injury.
