Tottenham Hotspur vs Norwich Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in four of Norwich’s last five games.
  • Tottenham have conceded six goals in their last five competitive matches.
  • Both teams have scored in each of the last three meetings between these sides.

Spurs show improvement under Conte

Antonio Conte maintained his unbeaten league start at Tottenham on Thursday with a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Brentford and they should be able to extend that record when they host relegation-candidates Norwich on Sunday.

Spurs may have put in a shocker at Mura last week but they were vastly improved on Thursday and that result made it three home wins on the spin, although it’s certainly worth noting they have conceded six times in their last five competitive matches.

Resurgent Canaries eye safety

Norwich looked surefire favourites for relegation just a few weeks ago but the arrival of Dean Smith has breathed new life into the club and they head to London unbeaten in four and in a buoyant mood.

Admittedly they should have done better at Newcastle in midweek, especially with the hosts playing with ten men for over 80 minutes, but that 1-1 draw leaves them just three points from safety despite having started the season by picking up two points from their opening ten games.

Expect goals in London

One thing they have improved upon in recent weeks is their attacking play. They have scored in four of their last five games, although they have conceded in all of those four as well. With Spurs shipping six in their last five, backing both teams to score looks a good move on Sunday.

Norwich may be in a purple patch but their opposition hasn’t exactly been stellar during this period, with Brentford, Southampton, Wolves and Newcastle their opponents. Spurs are looking much-improved under Conte and a repeat of their 2-1 success at home to Leeds appeals for my correct score prediction.
