Free-scoring hosts look good for the points

Hoffenheim are in goalscoring form and they should be backed to get a win at home to Freiburg on Saturday.

Hoffenheim are third in the league, four places and 12 points above seventh-placed Freiburg. Both teams have won more games than they’ve lost this season, with Hoffenheim recording 13 wins and five losses, and Freiburg eight wins and seven defeats.

The visitors’ current form is underwhelming. Freiburg have not won any of their last three Bundesliga away games and have lost four of the last six. They have failed to win eight of their last nine on the road.

Scoring has not been an issue for Hoffenheim lately, with the hosts impressing in front of goal at home this season. They have netted 24 times in ten home games, an average of 2.40 goals per game, and have scored three goals or more in ten of their 21 league matches overall.

Hoffenheim are in excellent form, having won six of their last eight Bundesliga matches. They have gone seven home games without defeat on their own ground, a run that includes seven consecutive victories.

The visitors have looked vulnerable at the back. Freiburg have failed to keep a clean sheet in 12 of their last 15 Bundesliga games and have conceded 22 goals away from home this season – an average of two goals per game from 11 matches.

Hoffenheim have been two-goal winners in three of their last four Bundesliga games and a 2-0 home win looks a decent correct-score option. Freiburg have suffered two 2-0 losses in the league this season.
