Both Teams To Score

Reason for tip

Vizela are a counter-attacking side in great away form, but have conceded eight goals in their last five home games. Both teams have scored in five of Boavista’s last six away league contests and also in the last three league meetings between the clubs.

Draw 1-1

Reason for tip

Vizela’s style of play means they rarely get too many bodies in the opposition box, while Boavista are averaging just over one goal per game on the road. Additionally, the last three meetings between the clubs have been drawn.

Vizela vs Boavista Predictions

  • Both teams have scored in five of Boavista’s last six away league contests.
  • Both teams have scored in the last three league meetings between the clubs.

Tulipa’s side are none too pretty

Vizela have benefitted from some soft fixtures and tactical miscalculations from their opponents of late and might not get away with it again when hosting Boavista on Monday. Tulipa’s side are an awful watch as they just sit in and wait for sporadic chances to counter-attack, yet it has served them so well lately with four wins from their last five games.

Three of those victories have been achieved away from home, but their home results have been nothing special. They were trounced 4-0 by Braga last month, but secured a 3-1 win over Casa Pia more recently after being gifted two own goals.

Boavista are no great shakes, but they have enough experience to work out what needs to be done at Estadio do Vizela. They are an interesting play in the double chance market, although their away results are pretty grim.

Scope for both teams to score

The best approach here is to back both teams to score, which has landed in five of Boavista’s last six away league contests and each of the last three head-to-head meetings between the clubs, all of which were drawn.

And another 1-1 result could well be on the cards when these two meet on Monday night.
