      Vorskla vs Qarabag Predictions

Vorskla face off against Qarabag at the Oleksiy Butovsky Vorskla Stadium in the latest round of Europa League Group E fixtures on Thursday. A victory for the hosts could push them level on points with Sporting in second spot should the Portuguese side lose their fixture against Arsenal this week.

Vorskla started their Group E campaign in underwhelming fashion, coming undone in their first two matches of the section against Arsenal and Sporting CP. Along with Qarabag, the Zeleno-Bili would have expected to have played second fiddle to the Group’s bigger names, though Vorskla’s chances of qualification are far from extinguished.

Vorskla put their first points on the board in Group E at the end of October when they eked out a 1-0 win against Qarabag in Azerbaijan. Vladyslav Kulach’s early goal in the second half was enough to separate what were two evenly matched sides on the night.

Vorskla’s win on Matchday three kicked off a four-game winning streak for the Zeleno-Bili. Manager Vasyl Sachko would have been particularly pleased by this defence’s three clean sheets during the same period, especially since they kept just one in six before that.

Vorskla have a great chance to enhance that defensive record further on Thursday against a Qarabag team who have yet to register a single goal a point in Europa League Group E this season.

The Azerbaijani outfit have had a miserable time of it in general of late. Their 2-0 win against Sumqayıt on Saturday was their first win in six, though that positive result will do little to rebuild their drastically eroded confidence.

At the root of Qarabag’s recent problems is their inability to find the net with any kind of consistency. The Atlılar only scored four times in their last six matches and in the Europa League they drew a blank on five of their last seven outings in total.

Vorskla don’t have the requisite quality to blow Qarabag away this week – they have scored just 4 times in 3 their 4 UEL group games so far. Their performance and subsequent victory in Azerbaijan last month showed that they just about have the edge on Qarabag however, and with the momentum behind them from a four-match winning streak, we’re backing Vorskla to squeeze past Qarabag again. Our correct score prediction forecasts another 1-0 win for the hosts.
