      Draw

      Reason for tip

Preston have already drawn four of their nine games this season and they look a solid bet for another stalemate when they visit West Brom, who have struggled with consistency so far in the new campaign.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

West Brom have already played out three 1-1 draws this season and a repeat of that looks likely in this clash.

West Bromwich Albion vs Preston Predictions

      • Preston have only lost one of their last ten matches in the Championship
      • There have been fewer than three goals in five of Preston’s last seven Championship games
      • West Brom have seen three 1-1 draws already this season

      Stalemate on the cards

Preston have been rock-solid to start the new Championship season, losing just once, and they could take a point when they visit the Hawthorns to take on West Brom.

The Baggies had an impressive start to the campaign but have lost three of their last five games and were beaten 3-0 by Millwall last time out.

Preston have drawn four of their nine games and have only conceded twice in their last four matches so this looks set to be a close one and this pair may have to settle for a share of the spoils once again.

The Lilywhites are not among the big spenders in the division but they have only conceded seven times in nine games, only two teams have a better defensive record, and they are fourth in the table as a result.

West Brom have been struggling with consistency and have not scored more than once in their last seven games.

In a game which looks likely to be a cagey affair, a stalemate may well be the end result.

Ryan Mason’s hosts have already played out three 1-1 draws this term, and both teams have scored in five of their last seven home matches so a repeat of that scoreline is impossible to rule out.
