West Ham vs Burnley Predictions

West Ham failed to win yet again at the weekend, but they definitely won’t be disappointed by this one. They managed to come back from an early goal to hold Liverpool to a 2-2 draw at Anfield, extending their winless streak to seven matches but gaining a point that looked very unlikely in the process.

This leaves them lurking just above the relegation zone in 17th position, and with a return of just 13 points from their opening 15 games it’s not hard to see why Slaven Bilic’s job is coming under pressure.

In fairness to West Ham their recent fixture list hasn’t been kind to them. They have faced Spurs, Manchester United (twice), Arsenal, and Liverpool in their last five games, and prior to this poor run they had managed to end a dreadful start to the season with a trio of wins over Crystal Palace, Sunderland, and Chelsea.

One shining star in the Hammers’ squad has been Michail Antonio. The 26 year old versatile player has netted seven Premier League goals this season to make him their top scorer, and with Burnley conceding almost three goals per game away from home Antonio looks an excellent choice for our anytime goalscorer predictions.

This awful defensive record has been coupled with an even worse attack away from home for Burnley. They have scored just one goal on the road all season, resulting in them losing five of their six trips away and being bottom of the table on away form.

Admittedly Burnley didn’t have the easiest starts away from home in the Premier League, but recent defeats to Stoke and West Brom have reinforced notions that they are really going to struggle on their travels this season.

As a result of this West Ham are big favourites to get the three points here, but there is value to be had elsewhere. Burnley have conceded at least two goals in all but one of their away days this season, and the recently improving West Ham will feel more confident going forward with Antonio in such fine form. Backing West Ham Over 1.5 Team Goals at 8/11 is a good choice, and I’m going for a 2-0 correct score predictions at 15/2 as well.
