      Everton to Win

      Reason for tip

Everton are much improved under David Moyes and they come into riding high after winning back-to-back games. Wolves have not won any of their last 11 Premier League home games in the month of August and could be set for a defeat.

      Thierno Barry To Score Anytime

      Reason for tip

Thierno Barry looks a smart signing for Everton and will surely lead the line ahead of the struggling Beto. The new boy scored 11 goals in 25 La Liga starts last season and could get off the mark in the Premier League here.

      Wolverhampton vs Everton Predictions

      • Wolves are winless in their last 11 Premier League home matches in the month of August
      • Everton haven’t conceded more than once in any of their last 13 away Premier League matches
      • David Moyes has won eight of his last 13 Premier League matches against these opponents

      Everton have new life

Everton looked all at sea in their opening away defeat to Leeds but their season has burst into life thanks to their first two games at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

David Moyes’ men beat Brighton 2-0 in their first game at their new home and followed that up with a success by the same scoreline over Mansfield in the League Cup on Wednesday.

The new ground has given a new energy to a club and that has been replicated with some smart additions in the transfer window.

The Toffees have made a loan signing of Jack Grealish and added to that by bringing in exciting youngster Tyler Dibling.

Coupled with new striker Thierno Barry, Everton should have much more creativity and attacking endeavour after having the lowest expected goals figures of any team that weren’t relegated last season.

      Wolves set to struggle

While there are still some question marks in some positions, namely full back, the squad looks in a much healthier place than it did even a few months ago.

The Toffees face Wolves this Saturday and Vitor Pereira’s side have had a dismal start to the new season.

They were beaten 4-0 at home to Manchester City in their opener and followed that up with a 1-0 away loss to Bournemouth after Toti Gomes was sent off after 49 minutes.

Jorgen Strand Larsen, who has been linked with a move away, rescued the Old Gold off the bench in the EFL Cup on Tuesday, scoring twice late on to see the Midlands club beat fellow strugglers West Ham 3-2 but they still very much look like a work in progress.

The loss of Rayan Ait-Nouri and Matheus Cunha in one summer is a lot to deal with and the jury is still out on Wolves’ new signings.

      Barry could get first goal

With Everton riding high, they may be able to keep the good vibes going with an away win at Molineux. The hosts are winless in their last 11 Premier League home games in the month of August and that looks set to continue.

The last three meetings between these two sides have produced nine goals and this could be another high-scoring affair, side with the visitors to edge this one 2-1.

Thierno Barry scored 11 times in 25 La Liga starts for Villarreal last season and he could make an impact for his new side Everton in this clash, take the 22-year-old to get on the scoresheet.
