Southampton look set to extend Wrexham’s recent poor form when they visit the Racecourse Ground on Saturday. The visitors are in good shape and should be backed to get the win.

Wrexham are 19th in the league, with one win, four draws and two losses from their seven games this season, while Southampton are eighth, having won four, drawn two and lost one.

Southampton maintained their winning habit with a 4-1 victory over Bristol City, taking them to four wins in the five matches in which they have been odds-on this season. Cyle Larin scored twice, including the opener on 38 minutes, and Southampton were leading at half-time for the fifth game in a row.

Southampton are in fine form going forward, having scored in 40 of their last 43 league games. They have been prolific recently, netting three or more goals in four of their last six Championship matches.

Wrexham have failed to win in eight of their last nine Championship games, a run that includes three matches without recording a victory.

The home side look frail defensively. Wrexham have yet to keep a clean sheet at the Racecourse Ground this season, going three Championship home games without shutting out their opponents. They have conceded in 16 of their last 20 on their own turf.

Southampton are in good form, having won four of their last six Championship matches and tasted defeat just once in the last ten games.

No Championship side has played more games with under 2.5 goals this season than Wrexham and a 2-0 win for Southampton looks a decent correct-score bet.
