Tip Reasoning
- Wycombe have won their last two league matches without conceding a goal.
- The Chairboys have won three of their last five outings at Adams Park.
- Luton have lost their last two and four of their last six Championship fixtures.
- Nathan Jones’ side have lost three of their last five away trips.
Chairboys value to land third straight win
Wycombe’s recent upturn in results and performances has probably come too late in the day to save them from relegation, but the Chairboys can bank themselves a third consecutive victory when they entertain Luton this weekend.
Wanderers look to be finally getting the hang of things in the Championship, though current odds of 1/500 for them to drop into League 1 pretty much tells the story. Despite back to back successes against Blackburn (1-0) and Rotherham (0-3), the Chairboys are still nine points adrift of safety with just six matches remaining.
Nevertheless, Wycombe’s efforts over Easter confirm that they’re going to fight until the death – and Gareth Ainsworth’s side look overpriced to beat Luton this Saturday, considering Town have lost their last two and effectively have nothing to play for in the run in.
Nathan Jones’ men have done tremendously to secure their safety from such a long way out this term, though they could now be paying the price. The Hatters were poor in defeats to Derby (2-0) and Barnsley (1-2) over the last week and they travel to Adams Park having lost three of their last five away trips and four of their last six matches overall.
As a result, we’re recommending a small stakes punt on Wycombe here to continue their resurgence and a 1-0 correct score also appeals for what should be a tight contest.
