AC Milan vs Genoa Predictions

AC Milan finally getting going

It was a tricky start to the season for AC Milan, and they still find themselves outside the European places in Serie A, but a run of four wins from their last five games shows they area heading in the right direction.

Only one of those successes, against Empoli, has come in the league, where they were beaten by high-flying, in-form Atalanta last time out.

But a return to the San Siro will be a boost, as they have only lost to Napoli and Liverpool there in 11 outings this season, winning seven times and keeping five clean sheets.

Genoa face an uphill task

That does not bode well for visitors Genoa, who have played six away games this season, and equally split three defeats and thre wins.

The  concern is that they have truly faltered when coming up against Serie A’s stronger side, losing their only two fixtures on the road against teams in the top five, 5-1 at Atalanta and 3-0 to Lazio.

Their five-match unbeaten streak therefore looks unlikely to continue here, against a team whom they have beaten just once in the last 12 head-to-heads in the league, losing nine times.

I predict that AC Milan will win this game to nil, selecting 2-0 as a correct score prediction.
