Celestes Backed to Seal Fourth Straight Win

Celta Vigo have seemingly been transformed since the arrival of new manager Eduardo Coudet and Celestes are backed to seal a fourth La Liga victory on the spin against Alaves this Sunday.

Coudet’s first game in charge ended in a 4-2 defeat at Sevilla towards the back end of November, but there were sparks of promise from Celta in that contest which have since transpired into some impressive results.

Last weekend’s 4-0 rout against Cadiz at Balaidos made it three league wins from three following victories over Granada (3-1) and Athletic Bilbao (0-2), and Celestes are now up to ninth in the standings having been entrenched in the bottom three under previous boss Oscar Garcia.

Celta will be fired up for the arrival of Alaves this weekend after smashing Babazorros 6-0 here in last season’s corresponding fixture, and we fancy the hosts to bank the points once again on Sunday, based on their current form and Alaves’ lack of recent wins.

The visitors have won just one of their last six league matches overall (D4, L1), and just two from six on the road, losing three.

The result may not be quite as emphatic this time around, but Celta certainly look set to continue on the upgrade this Sunday. Alaves can get themselves on the scoresheet as they’ve failed to do so only once on their travels this term, however it should be in vain with Celestes tipped to triumph 3-1.
