The evening started off with a great performance from the undervalued Cavaliers as they took the 76ers to overtime and landed out +11 handicap tip, but all the while we were on tenterhooks in Washington. It took a 61 point fourth quarter to push us over the points line, and even then we only made it by three points!
Later on it was the Knicks that made us sweat in the money line fixture, beating the line by just three points after falling behind in the first quarter. Once again, the other 01:05 game was a walkover as Denver Nuggets blew away the handicap by winning three out of four quarters against Oklahoma City Thunder.
Double success in the NBA and NHL
Fresh off the back of a 5/2 NBA double winner and 6/4 NHL best bet winner on Friday night, our US sport experts were at it again as we landed doubles in both sports on Saturday night.
Our NBA double focused on the two early games as the Cavaliers romped to an overtime victory in Philadelphia and the points line was breached late on in Washington.
All the while we had one eye fixed on the ice as Tampa Bay Lightning made a mockery of their odds in the money line market by demolishing Dallas Stars 5-0. The late fixture was less straightforward though as the Winnipeg Jets were taken to overtime against Montreal Canadiens before an eventual winner from Paul Stastny.
