Allegri’s Milan can cruise by struggling visitors

Max Allegri is doing an impressive job in his return to Milan, turning the Rossoneri into surprise early title contenders. While they look a little short on quality for a true title push, Allegri has built a solid side capable of returning to the Champions League.

Milan have clearly been helped by the fact they’ve missed out on Europe, with Allegri quickly making them an incredibly solid side at the back. They’ve kept four clean sheets in five, while they shipped just 0.2 xG in a 2-1 defeat to Cremonese in their opener.

Milan beat Napoli and drew at Juventus in their last two games, but their performance in Turin deserved all three points. Sunday’s encounter with Fiorentina looks like a much easier task, with la Viola winless after six games and languishing in 17th place.
