Valencia vs Real Betis Predictions
- Both teams have scored in six of the last seven head-to-heads
- Real Betis drew nine of their 19 away games last term
- Three of the last seven meetings between these two have finished 1-1
End-to-end clash likely
Both Valencia and Real Betis played out low-scoring affairs in their first game of the La Liga season but it could be an end-to-end clash when the pair meet on Tuesday.
Valencia were held to a 0-0 draw by Celta Vigo in their opener while Betis squeezed past Real Sociedad 1-0.
Betis finished fifth last season and will play Champions League football this term while Valencia narrowly missed out on European football despite a late rattle which saw them end up in ninth, just two points off continental qualification.
Irish striker Troy Parrott has bolstered the attacking ranks of Manuel Pellegrini’s visitors but this game may come too soon for him to have an immediate impact.
However his teammates can help ensure that this is an entertaining affair, as is usual in meetings between these two.
Both teams have scored in six of the last seven head-to-heads between these two and a repeat of that is fancied, with Carlos Corberan’s home side likely to make up for the wastefulness of their opening goalless draw.
Three of those seven games have finished 1-1 and although on paper Betis look the better team, home advantage could be enough to see Valencia sneak a point from this intriguing La Liga clash.
