ADO Den Haag vs NAC Breda Predictions

Den Haag’s three game unbeaten streak in the Eredivisie came to an end in Venlo last weekend when they lost 2-0 against VVV, while this Weekends opponents Breda ended their six game losing streak in the league with a draw at home to Willem II. There are seven points between the two clubs ahead of kick-off and even a victory for the visitors wont see them move out of the relegation places.

Den Haag gave VVV a run for their money last weekend, but could not stop their unbeaten streak coming to an end. A second minute penalty from Mlapa saw VVV take an early lead at home, and that goal proved enough to separate the two clubs at the half time break.

Despite being 1-0 down away from home Den Haag saw more of the ball than VVV with 54% of the overall possession and had seven shots during the ninety minutes, but the game was decided five minutes from time when second half substitute Grot netted his second goal of the season to wrap up a 2-0 win for the hosts.

Den Haag gave a good account of themselves against VVV, but when top scorer El Khayati fails to find the back of the net they more often than not end up losing the game. The former QPR and Burton Albion man has been in fantastic form this season with seven league goals scored in the opening nine matches, but none of his teammates have scored more than one Eredivisie goal and this could become a big problem when and if El Khayati picks up and injury or suspension.

Breda had to come from behind to end their six game losing streak in the Eredivisie last weekend, but did find themselves in front against Willem II through a twenty-eighth minute te Vrede strike. The visitors fought back to lead at half time through goals from Meißner and Avdijaj in the space of seven minutes.

Willem II looked the most likely to go on and score the next goal, but a seventy-fourth minute penalty offered Rosheuvel the chance to level the two teams and end Breda’s losing streak which the forward did with aplomb. Considering this game saw four goals scored there were very few shots on target from either side and neither really did enough to deserve all three points. Breda will have been the happier of the two sides with the result after coming from behind and with the draw meaning an end to their losing run.

With four goals in the league this season, including the opener against Willem II, te Vrede has started the season well and looks to posses the goals Breda are going to need to remain in the Eredivisie and hopefully for this weekends visitors, avoid a relegation battle all together.

We’re confident that under 2.5 goals will be scored in Saturday’s game and have backed the final score to finish 1-0 to Den Haag. Four of the last five matches between the two clubs have produced under 2.5 goals, while four of Den Haag’s last five matches have produced under 2.5 goals. Breda have lost five of their last six matches, and the visitors have lost all of their away games in league and cup this season.
