Reading are the best bet to win at AFC Wimbledon on Saturday. The hosts have lost five of their last six home league games and it’s now six games since they last won at home in League One.

Reading finished 12th in League One last season with 63 points from 16 wins, 15 draws, and 15 losses. AFC Wimbledon ended the campaign in 19th place, securing 53 points after winning 15 games, drawing eight, and losing 23.

Reading let a two-goal lead slip to lose 4-3 to Luton in their last League One game, with Jack Marriott scoring for them. They were priced as 2/1 outsiders to win the game.

AFC Wimbledon’s struggles in front of goal are a major concern. They have failed to score in seven of their last nine League One matches, and have gone goalless in three of their last four home games.

The hosts have been defensively vulnerable. It is now seven League One home games since AFC Wimbledon last kept out their opponents, having failed to keep a clean sheet in 17 of their last 20 on their own patch.

The home side’s form has been poor, with just one win in AFC Wimbledon’s last ten League One matches. They have lost ten of their last 12 league games, including the last two.

With no team having more games in League One where BTTS was a winner than Reading last season, and 11 of their 16 wins coming by the odd goal, a 2-1 away win for Reading looks a decent correct-score bet.
