      Birmingham to Win

      Reason for tip

Birmingham beat Bristol City 2-1 at St. Andrew’s last season and they had the fourth best home form in the Championship, suffering just three defeats in 23 outings. The Robins have lost their opening two games of the season to nil and may take time under new management to find their groove.

      Birmingham 2-0

      Reason for tip

Bristol City still await their first goal of the campaign having been beaten 2-0 at home to Millwall in their league curtain-raiser and crashed out of the EFL Cup with a shock 1-0 loss when entertaining League Two outfit Walsall. Birmingham have kept back-to-back clean sheets and may be able to shut out the Robins in recording victory.

      Birmingham vs Bristol City Predictions

      • Bristol City have lost their opening two games to nil
      • Birmingham have kept clean sheets in their first two matches
      • The Blues lost only three of their 23 home league games last term

Blues have the beating of rusty Robins

Just two points and two places separated Birmingham and Bristol City in the Championship last season but the Blues will be happier with how the new campaign has started.

Birmingham were the better side in a goalless draw away at Sheffield United in their Championship opener, having won the shot stats 10-3, and that came on the back of a 1-0 success at Swansea in the first round of the EFL Cup.

Bristol City, on the other hand, still await their first goal of the campaign having been beaten 2-0 at home to Millwall in their league curtain-raiser and crashed out of the EFL Cup with a shock 1-0 loss when entertaining League Two outfit Walsall.

A first-half red card for Adam Randell didn’t help the Robins against Millwall but they failed to have an effort on target while their opponents racked up 24 shots.

Bristol City are still adjusting to the methods of manager Michael Skubala, who left last season’s League One winners Lincoln to take over at Ashton Gate, while new strikers Lorent Tolaj and Dom Ballard also joined from third-tier outfits and may take time to hit top stride.

Birmingham beat Bristol City 2-1 at St. Andrew’s last season and they had the fourth best home form in the Championship, suffering just three defeats in 23 outings.

Chris Davies will hope that his side can challenge for the playoff this term and they can claim their first league victory of the campaign.
