Barcelona vs Levante Predictions
- Barcelona have failed to score in just one of their last 34 home league games.
- The Catalans have conceded in all but one of their five La Liga games this term and in their last four starts at Camp Nou.
- Both teams have scored in eight of Levante’s last ten La Liga fixtures.
- Granotas have netted in four of their last five away trips.
Tough times for Koeman’s Barca
Barcelona are without a win in three in all competitions and the Catalans are easily passed over at a short price for their Sunday afternoon clash against Levante at Camp Nou.
After their 3-0 Champions League trouncing against Bayern Munich and failure to beat Granada in their last home league game, Barca had a decent chance to regain the winning thread at Cadiz in midweek, but they couldn’t find a way past the plucky Andalusians, who held out for a goalless stalemate at Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla.
Boss Ronald Koeman was sent to the stands for abusing the fourth official to compound matters, and the Dutchman faces a touchline ban for the club’s next two fixtures.
It’s debatable as to whether Barca will miss Koeman’s presence considering how poorly they’ve been playing, though either way the hosts simply aren’t backable here at a skinny 2/5, even accounting for Levante’s failure to win any of their first six La Liga games this season (D4, L2).
Both teams have netted in three of the last four meetings between the sides and that’s the clear pick for this Sunday’s encounter, a bet which has failed to land in just two of the visitors’ last ten outings.
Irrespective of their current plight, we can count on Barca to score as they’ve only failed to do so once in their last 34 home league matches, though they’ve also conceded in their last four starts at Camp Nou.
With Levante striking in their last four on the road, the 7/10 for both teams to score this weekend is more than reasonable and it’s quite possible that Granotas can earn their fifth draw of the campaign too, with 2-2 appealing in the correct score market.
