Notts County to Win

Reason for tip

While County have just one win in their last 12, they did put an end to their five game losing streak with a 2-2 at Accrington last time out. Bradford meanwhile have lost their last two at home and could find it difficult against one of the strongest attacks in the division.

Notts County 3-1

Reason for tip

The Bantams have failed to score more than once across their last five home games while only Mansfield have scored more goals in League Two than Notts County’s 72. The Magpies should be able to comfortably outscore their opponents on Tuesday night and a 3-1 victory draws the most appeal.

Bradford vs Notts County Predictions

  • Only Mansfield have scored more league goals than County’s 72.
  • However, the Magpies also possess the leakiest defence in the division (72 goals conceded).
  • Three teams have scored fewer goals at home than Bradford’s 22.

Magpies can put recent slump to bed with victory

A run of one league victory across their last 12 fixtures has seen Notts County drop like a stone down the League Two table, with Stuart Maynard’s men currently in 17th and nine points away from the play-off positions.

However, despite their torrid run of form, they are still a worthy bet to come away from Valley Parade with victory given their talents in front of goal. Striker Macauley Langstaff tops the charts in the division with 23 goals this term,  both David McGoldrick and Dan Crowley have converted strikes in the double digits and Jodi Jones has laid off an astonishing 20 assists – double any other player in the league.

Bradford have scored just 22 times in front of their own fans this campaign and could therefore struggle to contend with the goalscoring exploits of their Tuesday night opponents, whilst the Bantams were also defeated 4-2 in the reverse fixture – having gone 4-0 down at half-time.

A win is of real necessity to put Notts County’s promotion push back on track and the Magpies should have more than enough quality to get it. With Bradford scoring no more than once in each of their last five matches at Valley Parade in all competitions, a 3-1 winning scoreline for the visitors draws the most appeal.
