      Bristol Rovers vs Rotherham Predictions

It may seem like only yesterday since the season kicked off but we are now approaching a quarter of the way through the new campaign and we have a good idea as to the sides who are the ones to watch and the ones who are in for a fight at the bottom of the division. This weekend in League One sees two sides who will be hoping that they can be around the play-off picture as Bristol Rovers face off against Rotherham.

With most people believing that Bristol Rovers were unlikely to feature in the hunt for promotion, it is perhaps surprising to see them in and around the play-offs in the early stages of the season. Much of their form has come courtesy of their form on home soil and the strength of their ability at the Memorial Stadium is shown by the fact that none of the five visiting teams have managed to claim all three points.

If the hosts are to emerge victorious then they will likely see striker Jonson Clarke-Harris play an important role. The 25-years-old has six goals to his name so far this season and with four in his last four matches, he looks like a good bet to hit the back of the net once again.

The latest side to make the trip to the Memorial Stadium is a Rotherham side who will be hoping that they can string together a sequence of results which puts them in a position to reclaim their spot in the Championship. The visitors may be down the table but they have as much as two games in hand on some of their rivals and with a strong away record to boot, they will be confident in their ability to claim the three points this weekend.

Both of these sides will approach this match with plenty of confidence and both will back themselves to claim the three points. However, given that 60% of Bristol Rovers’ home matches have finished with both teams scoring and 75% of Rotherham’s away matches have also finished this way, we think that backing both teams to find the back of the net is the way to go.
