Carpi vs Frosinone Predictions

Carpi have drawn three games in a row but they need wins to claw themselves out of the relegation zone, with a five-point gap to make up to safety. Their fate is starting to look sealed but a home win against Frosinone – who lie a single place above them in the table – would be a huge boost to their survival bid. Carpi have problems all over the pitch but they particularly struggle up front, with top scorer Marco Borriello having only scored four goals all season. Carpi, the league’s joint-lowest scorers with 24 goals, are without a win in eight matches and it is hard to see them breaking that run on Sunday in a massive match at the Stadio Alberto Braglia, with 18th hosting 19th.

Frosinone have been steadily improving of late and a 2-0 victory against Udinese was another great boost. Their overall form in recent weeks has been decent with three wins from their last six league matches. A win at Carpi would see them climb out of the relegation places and that will be fine motivation for Roberto Stellone and his players. However, Frosinone have also found goals hard to come by, only scoring 28 goals in 28 league games. Striker Daniel Ciofani is Frosinone’s top scorer with eight goals, three of which have come in his last four appearances.

Neither side is confident in front of goal and this relegation six-pointer could well be a cagey affair. Carpi’s last three games have all seen under 2.5 goals, while the same is true for five of Frosinone’s last six matches. Under 2.5 goals at 4/6 with bet365 therefore looks a safe bet for this game and, while Frosinone may just edge the match, a 1-1 draw at 5/1 with bet365 is perhaps the most likely result.
