Coventry vs Bristol City Predictions
- Both teams have scored in eight of the previous 10 meetings.
- Neither side has kept a clean sheet in the last four clashes.
- Both teams have found the back of the net in five of Coventry’s last seven games.
Coventry temporarily told to leave home
Mark Robins has expressed his dismay at the state of the pitch at the Ricoh Arena and this tie has since been moved to Burton Albion’s Pirelli Stadium due to the ‘unsafe and unplayable’ condition of the turf at the home of the ‘Sky Blues’. It meant that Sunday’s home game with Rotherham was postponed and it looks as though the Robins could decide to field a relatively strong side for this encounter.
The ‘Robins’ have gotten off to a poor start in the league and have suffered back-to-back defeats in poor fashion. They consistently dropped points from winning positions last term and it looks as though they’re starting where they left off. On Saturday, City came from a goal down to lead 2-1 but then conceded twice to take defeat from the jaws of victory. A change could be needed and boss Nigel Pearson is expected to ring the changes for this tie.
Goals at both ends likely
On a neutral venue, we think that both sides will create chances here and both have been known to be vulnerable defensively. In a game where a number of players will be out to impress, we’ll back both sides hitting the back of the net.
