FC Eindhoven vs FC Oss Predictions
Oss had to wait 83 minutes to break the deadlock at home to Jong AZ on Friday evening, but Philippe Rommens’ goal was enough in the end to see off Michel Vonk’s dogged side. The result consolidated 6th place in the Eerste Divisie table for TOP who look likely to be involved in the end of season Play-offs, however Klaas Wels’ charges need a couple more wins from the remaining seven games to be absolutely certain. They travel to Eindhoven this Monday in search of another three points and they will be gunning to enhance their fantastic recent record against Blauw-witten after winning four of the last five meetings between the pair.
That won’t be an easy task though, as FC Eindhoven are in decent nick at present. Friday’s 1-1 draw away to 16th placed Telstar may not seem like a good result on the face of things, but the IJmuiden outfit did go into that contest on the back of four straight wins.
The result took FC Eindhoven’s points haul to eight from their last four league games, and on Monday they will be seeking to replicate the fine performance they turned in at home a fortnight ago to demolish Dordrecht 8-1.
Eindhoven are seven places below Oss in 13th position, but they are just two points adrift of the top nine and a Play-off place is well within reach if David Nascimento’s side can hold their form over the next few weeks.
Their overall record at Jan Louwers Stadion this term is fairly poor with just four wins bagged from 15 outings; however that crushing success over Dordrecht confirmed their recent improvement at home following wins against Den Bosch and NEC earlier this year.
Nonetheless, Oss have been pretty useful on the road this season with seven wins and three draws garnered from 15 matches, and they will take lots of confidence into this Monday’s fixture after four wins and a draw from their past five encounters with FC Eindhoven.
Oss ran out 2-0 winners over Blauw-witten at Frans Heesen Stadion back in November, and we think they have what it takes to secure a positive result here – especially as league positions dictate that it is FC Eindhoven who need to chase the three points.
The bookies make the hosts narrow odds-on favourites for the win and we feel they are worth opposing based on their poor win ratio at home and the recent head to head. Oss look a solid wager in the double chance market and we’re also going for a 1-1 correct score.
