Alaves can build on their strong start

Alaves have won their last two home games and they should be backed to continue their winning run when they host Osasuna on Sunday.

No defence has been meaner than Alaves’ in the Primera Liga this term, with just one goal against in three games. They have kept clean sheets in three of their last four home games.

Alaves are in good form, having won four of their last six matches. They have also been strong at home, winning four of their last six games on their own turf.

Osasuna’s recent away form has been poor, with five defeats in their last seven Primera Liga games on the road.

The visitors have looked vulnerable in defence. Osasuna are on a run of seven Primera Liga away days without recording a shutout.

A 2-0 home win for Alaves looks a decent correct-score option. Five of their last seven Primera Liga matches have produced under 2.5 goals, and two of those games ended with a 2-0 scoreline.
