Alaves vs Osasuna Predictions

• Alaves have lost their opening three league games, scoring just one goal and conceding eight.
• Osasuna were beaten 1-4 by Valencia last time out but managed to collect five points from their first three matches.
• The visitors have won three of the last four meetings between the sides (D1).

Osasuna to oust struggling Alaves once again

Osasuna have claimed ten points from these sides’ last four La Liga encounters and Los Rojillos should be able to confirm their superiority over Babazorros again this at Mendizorroza this weekend.

Alaves are second favourites to be relegated this season and it’s easy to see why based on their opening three matches.

Javier Calleja’s side have suffered 4-1 and 3-0 beatings against Real Madrid and Valencia respectively, with a dismal 1-0 home defeat to newly promoted Mallorca sandwiched in between.

Babazorros are failing miserably at both ends of the field, and their early displays mean they’re impossible to fancy for this Saturday’s clash against an Osasuna side who have won on their last two visits to this venue.

Los Rojillos uncharacteristically fell apart at home to Valencia last time out as Los Che ran out 4-1 winners at El Sadar, however, Jagoba Arrasate’s charges managed to collect five points from their three previous outings against Celta Vigo (0-0). Espanyol (0-0) and Cadiz (2-3).

While their form isn’t anything to get particularly excited about, the Pamplona outfit should have enough quality to take advantage of struggling Alaves once more on Matchday 5.

With Osasuna also winning four of their last nine on the road, with two of their three defeats in that sequence coming against Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid, the visitors are priced up fairly attractively at around the 6/4 mark all things considered.

We expect Arrasate’s side to tighten up in defence after their disappointment on Matchday 4, and they can seal victory here via a 0-1 score-line to post their third clean sheet of the campaign.
