PSG 3-1

Reason for tip

Reims have scored in four of their last five home league games and will no doubt give it a go under new coach Luka Elsner, whose Le Havre side racked up 22 shots at home to PSG last season. But the champions are banging three and four goals in on a regular basis and should grab a triple in this clash to ease to victory.

Reims vs PSG Predictions

  • PSG have won 13 of their last 15 away Ligie 1 fixtures with BTTS landing in four of the last five
  • Both teams have scored in Reims’s last three matches
  • Randal Kolo Muani has scored two goals in 133 minutes of Ligue 1 action this season and for France during the last international break

It pays to keep faith with PSG

PSG can maintain their winning momentum with victory over a confident Reims side at Stade Auguste-Delaune II on Saturday.

The Ligue 1 champions have been in machine-like mode this season and recorded their fifth victory in a row when beating Girona in the Champions League on Wednesday. That game was, however, their toughest to win this term as it took a deflected cross to beat the visitors’ goalkeeper in the 90th minute and seal a 1-0 success.

Luis Enrique has fostered a never-say-die spirit that has also enabled them to churn out regular away wins in the league with PSG having taken all three points in 13 of their last 15 Ligue 1 road trips.

Kolo Muani can fill in for Asensio

It would be foolish to oppose them right now even if Marco Asensio is out with a hamstring injury. Randal Kolo Muani, who came on for him on Wednesday, is in good enough form to keep the goals flowing as he has scored twice in just 133 minutes of league play so far this season.

As for Reims, who are without midfielder Amadou Kone,  defender Abdoul Kone and winger Mo Daramy, they have been relying on their Japanese duo of Keito Nakamura and Junya Ito for their goals.

Both impressed in their 2-1 win at Nantes last week and could provide something for the home fans to cheer in this clash too, although PSG should have enough quality and determination to win nonetheless.
