Can Porto sense a comeback?

The visitors lost 2-1 at Spezia at the weekend, which was their third game on the bounce without a win on the road. They’ve fallen off the pace in the Serie A title race as a result, while they could be about to drop out of Europe having scored just once across those three games.

Inter lost 2-0 at Bayern Munich and conceded three goals in a draw at Barcelona, so their away form in this competition should give Porto a chance. History also sits in the hosts’ favour, as they look to follow Benfica into the last eight.

Taremi to fire Porto to victory

Porto rallied to claim home advantage in the last 16, winning each of their final four group games after a poor start. That saw them see off Bayer Leverkusen and Atletico Madrid at this ground, so they should trouble Inter on Tuesday.

They also boast a high-scoring forward, given that Mehdi Taremi has been directly involved in seven goals in six appearances in the Champions League this season, scoring five times.
