Getafe in desperate need of points

A couple of wins of late have boosted Getafe’s hopes of staying in La Liga, but they head into the weekend still in the relegation zone.

Scoring goals has not been a problem for Quique Sánchez Flores’ side, who have netted in nine of their 11 league games since Christmas.

The issues are at the other end, as they have also kept just two clean sheets during that time, with both teams netting in five of their last six outings.

The Azulones have at least boosted their poor home record of late though, beating Valencia and Girona after a run of one win in eight at Coliseum Alfonso Pérez.

Sevilla must end shocking away record

Sevilla are another team in trouble, although they have at least dragged themselves out of the relegation zone by winning five of their ten matches this calendar year.

Six of those outings have seen both teams score, but there is a huge worry over their form on the road, as they remain winless in seven La Liga away outings, despite each team netting on six occasions.

Indeed, Jorge Sampaoli’s side, who lost 1-0 to Fenerbahçe in the Europa League on Thursday, have kept just four clean sheets in their last 15 matches on their travels, all of which came to lower league sides in the Copa del Rey.

I predict that both teams will score in this fixture, with 1-1 my correct score prediction.
