  • Hull have lost three of their five away fixtures
  • The Terriers have failed to score in four consecutive away matches

Terriers to take care of toothless Tigers

Huddersfield have made big improvements from last season and their transformation under Carlos Corberan can continue with victory at home to Hull.

The Terriers finished just six points above the relegation zone last term but are already on course to leave that form well behind them.

After 11 games, Huddersfield find themselves on the cusp of the playoff places with 17 points and Corberan’s methods are finally starting to be translated on the pitch.

Corberan was the former assistant to Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road and his approach is similar to that of the Leeds manager, with him attempting to adopt a more possession-based style.

Performances and results are certainly improving and they look far more reliable than Yorkshire rivals Hull, who sit fourth from bottom with nine points from 11 games.

Since recording a 4-1 win at Preston, the Tigers have failed to score in four away league matches, collecting just one point courtesy of a goalless draw at Swansea.

In fact, Hull have netted only eight goals in 11 league outings and that lack of firepower leaves them vulnerable at Huddersfield, who have scored seven times across their last three fixtures at the John Smith’s Stadium.

The Terriers have won three of their last four home league games, recording wins over Preston, Reading and Blackburn, and they have little to fear from Hull.

We are predicting a home win and are opting for a 2-0 margin of victory. All three of Hull’s three away defeats this season ended that way.
