Jamaica vs Costa Rica Predictions

Jamaica, runners-up in the CONCACAF Gold Cup last year, were defeated 2-0 by Panama in the opening game of qualification thanks to a goal from Armando Cooper, and a Wes Morgan own goal.

The Reggae Boyz were able to shake that losing form going into their next fixture as they beat Haiti away from home 1-0. They appeared to struggle in the first half going in 0-0 at half time. Shortly after the second half resumed however Birmingham City striker Clayton Donaldson was able to find the back of the net, with a goal that proved to be the difference between the two sides.

With both Panama and Jamaica having won and lost one game each, they share 2nd spot, Panama just edging it on better goal difference.

Copa Centroamericana champions Costa Rica hit the ground running, in the first two games of qualification, and look to continue their unbeaten streak. In their opening fixture they won 1-0 at home to a struggling Haiti, West Brom defender Cristian Gamboa’s goal proving decisive.

In the next game Oscar Ramirez’s Costa Rica team struggled against a well organised Panama defence. Team captain Bryan Ruiz however stepped up to break the deadlock in the 66th minute. Marco Urena joined him on the scoresheet shortly after, but Panama forward Luis Tejada was able to sneak what proved to be just a consolation goal 20 minutes from time. Costa Rica managed to hold on and win 2-1.

Costa Rica have been in good form coming into this game, and don’t show any signs of giving up their unbeaten streak. The Reggae Boyz will fancy their chances, but Costa Rica should have enough quality to take all 3 points here. Get Costa Rica to win at 13/8 with bet365
