Fiorentina to Win

Reason for tip

Lecce have lost their last four league games and lost five of their last eight at home. They look vulnerable to another defeat against a Fiorentina side that have won three of their last four away Serie A matches and beat Crystal Palace 2-1 on Thursday.

Fiorentina 1-0

Reason for tip

Back the visitors to pick up a fourth away league win in five and potentially by the minimum scoreline of 1-0, which has occurred most frequently among their recent successes.

Lecce vs Fiorentina Predictions

  • Lecce have lost five of their last eight at home
  • Fiorentina have won three of their last four away Serie A matches

Lecce losing ground in relegation scrap

Fiorentina travel to face relegation rivals Lecce on Monday evening and it is a match the visitors should win based on both clubs’ recent form. The Giallorossi are mired in the bottom three after suffering four straight defeats to Napoli, Roma, Atalanta and Bologna.

The Salento side have failed to score in their last three overall and also have dodgy home form over a longer period, featuring five losses in eight at Via del Mare.

La Viola, on the other hand, are one of the form sides in Serie A after hauling themselves out of the drop zone into relative comfort. The Florence-based side have won three and drawn one of their last four in the league, including a 1-0 victory at home to Lazio and a 1-1 draw with leaders Inter.

La Viola for the victory

They went out of the Conference League on Thursday, but it wasn’t without a fight as their 2-1 second leg win at Artemio Franchi was not enough to overturn the deficit against Crystal Palace.

Paulo Vanoli is set to be without injured marksman Moise Kean for this clash, but his side have enough quality elsewhere to secure a low-scoring win. Back the visitors to pick up a fourth away league win in five and potentially by the minimum scoreline of 1-0, which has occurred most frequently among their recent successes.
