However, there is a clear gulf in class here and Leeds should have far too much for the visitors, so back them to cover a -1 handicap.

Leeds had the second best home record in the division last season with 16 wins in their 23 games. They also only conceded 16 goals – the best home defensive record in the league – and a 3-0 win for the Elland Road club looks a reasonable correct score play here.

Georginio Rutter was Leeds’ assist king last term with 16 in 48 appearances. He managed a modest seven goals but has been in good scoring form in pre-season with efforts against neighbours Harrogate and Spanish big guns Valencia, and he can open his account for the season against Pompey.
