Leicester City vs Millwall Predictions

Lions still hungry for more away wins

Millwall must keep winning to stay in the automatic promotion places and should secure all three points against already-relegation Leicester City on Friday evening. The Lions moved three points clear of Ipswich in second with a 3-1 win at Stoke on Tuesday while the Foxes’ fate was being sealed at King Power Stadium.

Gary Rowett’s side showed some battling qualities amid a toxic atmosphere in a 2-2 draw at home to Hull, but familiar defensive failings meant they could not hang on to the lead that may have prolonged their dreams of an unlikely escape from the drop.

They can probably expect some further grumblings and even more empty seats to greet them when they face Millwall later this week. Fans were heard booing the players’ names as they were read out by the announcer and the Foxes’ starting XI were jeered as they entered the pitch.

Coburn can add to recent tally

Their frustration is understandable given the incredible fall from grace over the past decade with Rowett’s team now on a seven-game winless run. They have lost six of their last nine at home and conceded multiple goals in seven of those games, so backing the visitors to win with at least two goals in the game appeals here.

Alex Neil’s men have scored two or more goals in seven of their past 10 away trips, winning all seven and their only slip-ups in that period came at title winners Coventry, promotion-chasing Ipswich and a West Brom side fighting for their lives.

Back the Lions to secure a 2-0 win, a score that has cropped up three times in their last 10 road trips, with Josh Coburn the man in form to get on the scoresheet.
