Levante on a downward curve

Levante’s season has been abysmal. They have won just once in 21 matches, and even that was against a sixth tier side, while they have the second worst home record in La Liga.

In nine matches at Estadi Ciutat de València they have collected six points from an available 27, losing three times and drawing six, conceding 15 goals in the process.

Their defence has in fact been breached on 26 occasions in all, more times than any other side in the division, 15 of which have come in the last three games under new manager Alessio Lisci.

Six pointer for Mallorca?

With just four points separating Mallorca and the relegation zone, this is a huge chance for them to put some distance between themselves and the bottom three.

Luis García’s side have lost their last two, against Granada and Barcelona, but other recent results include a win over Atletico Madrid and draws against Valencia and Celta Vigo.

They have won only two of their nine away fixtures, but remain unbeaten in matches against the four teams below them in the table this season.

I fancy Mallorca will get a win here, but Levante have drawn a lot of games, so I am selecting Mallorca draw no bet for some insurance. My correct score prediction, given both team’s defences, is a 2-1 victory to the visitors.
