      Under 2.5 Match Goals

      Reason for tip

Under 2.5 goals looks the play when Lille host Le Havre. The visitors have seen 20 of their 31 league games stay below three goals and struggle badly against top-four opposition. Lille’s home matches also trend low-scoring. With both sides often involved in tight contests, another cagey encounter is expected.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

A 1-1 draw appeals in the correct-score market. While Le Havre games are frequently low-scoring, both teams have scored in their last five matches, suggesting each can contribute. Lille are strong at home but Le Havre have proved stubborn recently. A balanced contest with limited chances points towards a score draw rather than a rout.

      Lille vs Le Havre Predictions

Goals likely scarce at Stade Pierre-Mauroy

Take under 2.5 goals in Lille’s home game against Le Havre on Sunday. There have been under 2.5 goals in seven of Le Havre’s last nine Ligue 1 games and it has been a winning bet in 20 of their 31 games this season.

Lille are fourth in the league, ten places and 26 points above Le Havre, who are 14th with six wins, 13 draws and twelve defeats from their 31 games this season.

Le Havre have struggled against the best teams this season, scoring an average of just 0.14 goals a game in their seven Ligue 1 games against teams in the top four and failing to win 14 of their 15 games against top-half sides.

Lille have been winners in seven of their last nine Ligue 1 games but Le Havre are tough opponents, unbeaten in five of their last six matches.

Ten of Lille’s 15 Ligue 1 home games this season and 11 of Le Havre’s 15 away games have gone under 2.5 goals, with six of Lille’s last eight at home and nine of Le Havre’s last 11 on the road staying under three goals.

It could be hard to separate these two sides, with the 1-1 draw looking a decent correct-score bet. Both teams have scored in Le Havre’s last five Ligue 1 games and, while they have been in some low-scoring games of late – seven of the last nine have gone under 2.5 goals – there were eight goals in their clash with Metz last weekend, when they drew 4-4.
