MK Dons vs Millwall Predictions

MK Dons opened their league account with a 1-0 win over Shrewsbury Town last Saturday. Former Millwall player Ed Upson assisted striker Daniel Powell as they contributed towards the only goal of the game. Millwall won 3-0 at home to Oldham in their opening fixture of League One. A converted penalty from Lee Gregory set The Lions off. Aiden O’Brien then made it 2-0 on the 45th minute. An extremely bright start to the 2nd half saw Millwall go 3-0 up and cruising within a minute of the restart – Byron Webster was the scorer.

Having made good starts to the campaign, both sides will be keen to continue this good league form and come away with another positive result here. Especially since their respective league starts were matched by convincing victories in the EFL Cup during mid-week. Ahead of this match both sides should be brimming with confidence.

In the betting, it’s hard to go for a winner and it would seem as though there’s a better way to play it. At odds of 11/10, ‘Over 2.5 Goals’ is the way to go.

MK Dons, in their last five home games, have seen at least three goals go in in all five. Whilst Millwall, in their last five on the road, have seen an over 2.5 goals outcome in four out of five. The stats bode well here. Both sides are more than capable in an attacking sense and it really is hard to not fancy either to find the net here. At the same time, it is glaringly obvious that both can struggle at the back against decent attacking teams. Since this describes both of these two themselves, only one thing seems sure in this fixture, and that’s goals.
