Moldova vs Andorra Predictions
- There have been three or more goals in nine of Moldova’s last 16 home matches
- Seven of Andorra’s last eight away games have contained at least three goals
- Moldova have only kept two clean sheets in their last 14 outings
Can the hosts get a rare home win?
Moldova head into this clash on the back six successive home victories, with their defending a particular problem as they have conceded at least two goals in each of those outings.
Serghei Cleșcenco took charge earlier this year and has picked up just one victory in seven, with four of those outings containing at least three goals, including a 4-2 defeat to Latvia last time out.
They have managed a couple of clean sheets under the new boss, such as a 0-0 draw with Andorra earlier on in the Nations League group stages, but in their last 16 at home, they have managed only two shut-outs.
Andorra improving
Andorra, like Moldova, are on four points after three games in the Nations League, with their win coming against Leichtenstein, who they beat 2-1 last time out.
That means two of their group fixtures have contained three or more goals, as have seven of their last eight away matches, in which they have conceded a total of 23 strikes.
Managed by Koldo Álvarez since 2010, they are a steadily improving side despite the resources available to them, but victories on the road are rare – managing just one in 18 attempts since 2018.
I predict there will be three or more goals in this game and Moldova should have enough to take the victory, with 2-1 my correct score prediction.
