Nantes need to dig themselves out of a rut

It has been a disappointing last month for Nantes as they have slipped down the Ligue 1 table and been dumped out of the Europa League by Juventus, losing the home leg of that tie 3-0 to the Italians.

It is scoring goal that has been the biggest issue with just one netted in their last four home league games. They will aim to keep things tight – just two of their last nine matches on their own patch have featured three or more goals – but they could be up against it when one of Ligue 1’s hottest outfits

Nice looking to build on impressive away showings

No team in the top half have scored fewer than Nice’s 34 goals this season, but they look ready to continue their charge towards claiming European qualification.

Much of their progress has been down to some impressive away results and victories at Monaco and Marseille – they scored three goals in both matches – should not be sniffed at.

Only leaders Paris Saint-Germain and second-placed Marseille have conceded fewer goals on the road than Nice, so they should be confident that they can continue their nine-match unbeaten run.
