Newport County vs Barnet Predictions

We are predicting both teams to score when Newport County try again to host Barnet in an early relegation six pointer on Tuesday night and this is available at 8/11 with bet365. For our correct score tip we like the look of a Barnet win so are backing them to come away from Rodney Parade with a 2-1 victory, available at 9/1 with the same site.

The match was originally due to be played in early September and although the sides got through to half time, heavy rain meant that they got no further. Barnet will have been the most disappointed in the decision as they were leading through a John Akinde goal scored after just 23 seconds, a goal that will now be wiped from the record books after the postponement.

Every single Newport home game this season has seen a result where both teams have scored and even after appointing a new manager a few weeks ago they still haven’t stopped the rot at the back and have conceded a further four times in those two games.

Things are pretty bleak for County at the moment, they sit at the foot of the league, have the second worst home record and worst offensive record in League Two. They are also bottom of the form table having failed to win in any of the last 10.

Barnet have also had their troubles of late and the weekend’s victory over Wycombe was their first in the last six. The Bees will be hoping to back that up with a win over a side that they have traditionally had the better of over the few times they have come face to face.

Although Barnet only sit in 20th position they do have an okay away record which has seen them score in every away fixture and claim eight points from their six games on the road. Martin Allen knows that a win on Tuesday night will also see his side catapult up the table to 14th with a win, which will surely be a shot in the arm for a side that must be low on confidence after the results of recent weeks.
