Newport County vs Morecambe Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

It’s a key game in Newport’s fight for safety but we are backing them to come up short when they host Morecambe on Tuesday night. Newport have started to turn their season around of late and with just one defeat in their previous seven they have started to claw themselves back to safety. The trouble for County boss Graham Westley is that five of those seven games have been draws, so he will have been delighted to see his side leading 2-0 after an hour against Cambridge at the weekend. A dramatic collapse saw them lose that match 3-2 and with the side already at the foot of the table it remains to be seen whether they can bounce back or if that defeat will deflate any hopes of a great escape.

Morecambe have had their own worries of late, but since the emergence of the news about the club’s financial difficulty they have seemed to come together as a group and produce some excellent results. They have three wins from the last five and are one of the form sides in the division.

It’s also a match up of the second worst home record in league two hosting the seventh best away record.  When you throw in that Morecambe have won all but one of the previous seven meetings against Newport and have also won every time they have been to Rodney Parade it looks like the result is only going one way.
