AFC Bournemouth to Win

Reason for tip

Bournemouth have won four of their last six games and are on a 17-game unbeaten run in the Premier League, they should be able to get the better of a Nottingham Forest side with little to play for.

Nottingham Forest vs AFC Bournemouth Predictions

Irola looking to end reign on a high

Andoni Iraola’s reign as Bournemouth manager is set to come to an end but he can bring down the curtain in style with a win over Nottingham Forest in his final match in charge.

The Cherries ended Manchester City’s Premier League title hopes with an impressive performance in Pep Guardiola’s penultimate game in which the Citizens were lucky to scrape a 1-1 draw.

Bournemouth missed a plethora of chances to go 2-0 up before Erling Haaland’s late equaliser, which essentially ended the Cherries hopes of securing Champions League football.

They need to win this game and hope that Liverpool lose to Brentford with a six-goal swing on goal difference thrown into the mix too. Just a point will wrap up Europa League football for the Cherries though and they should be able to get all three as they visit the City Ground.

Iraola’s men are on a remarkable 18-game unbeaten run in all competitions, beating Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle in that spell.

Kroupi one to watch

That form is in sharp contrast with their hosts, whose season has really petered out after securing safety. The Tricky Trees were beaten 4-1 on aggregate in the Europa League semi-final by eventual winners Aston Villa and have since drawn with Newcastle and lost to Manchester United.

Safety is assured for Vitor Pereira’s men but they can finish no higher than 15th after a disappointing league campaign in which they have lost 16 of their 37 matches.

One of those was a 2-0 defeat at Bournemouth and the Cherries are fancied to do the double over these opponents and finish Iraola’s spell in charge on a high.

Only Arsenal and Manchester City have lost fewer games this season than the visitors’ seven and they also have an impressive record against these opponents, 2015 was the last time that Forest won a meeting between these two and the Cherries have won seven of the 11 meetings since. The visitors are fancied to come out on top to secure Europa League football for next season at the least.

Both teams have scored in five of Bournemouth’s last seven games and a repeat of that could be on the cards, they can secure a 2-1 victory to sign off the season in style.

Eli Junior Kroupi has been a revelation for the Cherries this season, scoring 13 goals in 20 starts for the south coast club. His finishing is second to none and he looks a tempting price to get on the scoresheet.
