Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

RB Leipzig have seen eight goals scored across their two competitive games this season and over 2.5 goals has landed in each of their last four Bundesliga outings. Stuttgart have seen at least three goals in seven of their last ten league games and netted five against Bochum in their opener.

RB Leipzig 3-1

Reason for tip

RB Leipzig have won their last four home Bundesliga games and face a Stuttgart side who were almost relegated last season. The hosts have scored ten goals in these four home games but conceded five at the other end.

Dani Olmo To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Dani Olmo scored a hat-trick in RB Leipzig’s German Super Cup triumph a couple of weeks ago and followed that up with a goal against Bayer Leverkusen last time out.

RB Leipzig vs Stuttgart Predictions

  • RB Leipzig have seen over 2.5 goals land in each of their last four Bundesliga matches.
  • Stuttgart have seen over 2.5 goals in seven of their last ten league games.
  • RB Leipzig have won their last four home league games, scoring ten goals and conceding five.

Olmo leads the way for Leipzig

After kickstarting their season with a fantastic German Super Cup win over Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig’s Bundesliga campaign off off to a disappointing start as they lost a five-goal thriller in Leverkusen but they can bounce back in another high-scoring affair against Stuttgart.

Last season’s third-place finishers have raked in over £200 million in transfer fees this summer but have made what look to be some shrewd replacements for the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Dominik Szoboszlai and Christopher Nkunku.

Luis Openda and Benjamin Sesko have come in up front with Christoph Baumgartner supporting and Castello Lukeba at the back. However, it’s the familiar face of Dani Olmo who has made the difference so far.

The Spaniard scored a hat-trick in the Super Cup and followed it with another goal against Leverkusen. Given his advanced positioning in both those games, backing him to score again on Friday could be a good move. He’s unlikely to be the only scorer, though.

Goals on the agenda at Red Bull Arena

Stuttgart got their season off to a flyer with a 5-0 thrashing of newly-promoted Bochum and seven of their last ten Bundesliga games have featured at least three goals.

RB Leipzig have seen over 2.5 goals land in each of their last four league matches, so I’m backing that along with a home win. Leipzig have won their last four home league games, scoring ten goals and conceding five, so a 3-1 correct score prediction appeals.
