Real Betis vs Getafe Predictions
Getafe looked doomed to the Segunda Division a month back but Juan Esnáider has inspired a run of form that has seen them pick up 8 points from their last 4 matches which has ensured they go into the final day with their fate in their own hands. Away wins at Real Sociedad and Deportivo have contributed to 6 of those 8 points so they’ll be hopeful of completing a hat-trick of victories on the road here. That would ensure they stay up but anything less than 3 points will most likely lead to relegation as it’s highly likely at least one of Rayo Vallecano or Sporting Gijon will win their home games.
That makes it a pressure game and Real Betis are unlikely to roll over. They may have only won 2 of their last 9 games but it has been enough to preserve their top flight status which was their primary aim this term. They are likely to be watched by Gus Poyet, who was announced as their new head coach this week and there’ll be one or two players keen to show the Uruguayan what they can offer in their only real chance to impress the new man before the summer transfer window.
Betis games generally don’t involve many goals. They are strong at the back but have the worst goalscoring record in the division with just 32 goals from 37 games this season. All of their last 6 games have featured under 2.5 goals and only 5 of their 18 home games this term have had over 2.5 goals. Getafe are better at the back under their new boss too so it should be a tight game and a very tense one for the visitors so backing there to be under 2.5 goals at 11/10 looks to offer real value here.
