Osasuna can see off struggling Oviedo

Osasuna may be out of form, but they look like good value for an away win at Oviedo on Monday.

They are five places above Oviedo in the table, but both teams have lost more games than they’ve won this season. Osasuna, in 14th, have won three and lost six of their ten games, while Oviedo have two wins and seven defeats.

The hosts have been disappointing in front of goal at home this season, scoring just twice in five home games – an average of 0.40 goals per game. Oviedo have now gone two games without finding the net.

Oviedo are struggling at home, having lost four of their last five matches in the Primera Liga. They have suffered three straight defeats on their own patch and have failed to win six of their last seven league games.

The hosts have looked vulnerable at the back. Oviedo have been unable to keep their opponents at bay in seven straight Primera Liga games and have failed to keep a clean sheet in nine of their last ten.

A 2-0 away win for Osasuna looks a decent correct-score option. Seven of Oviedo’s ten league outings this season have seen at least one side failing to score, and they have lost four matches by a 2-0 scoreline.
